Who is your favorite Sleuth?

This month's Book Discussion was to talk about our favorite sleuths or investigators. Not too many folks showed up, so we thought we'd open up the question to our blogfolk: Who do you like best? Why?

We'll post ours after a few of you have posted -- we don't want to influence anyone too much ;-)

It used to be either The Continental Op from the Dashiell Hammett books or Will Eisner's The Spirit, but these days it might be Sally Lockhart!

Gee, I don't know Sally Lockhart. I'll have to check that out!

Yes, the classics were the very best. In my youth I loved Miss Marple, and anything by Ngaio Marsh or Josephine Tey. Now I like a lot of the female sleuths: Kinsey Milhone, Benny Rosato, etc., and P.D. James' Adam Dalgleish. I'm also enjoying anything by Laurie R. King.
